Welcome

I'm Kennedy and I am a lifelong Caroline County native. I have been graciously awarded the opportunity to complete a historical research project dedicated to the Choptank River and Caroline County as a whole. This site is intended to document my findings via blog posts, content such as historic documents or photographs, further resources for those interested in the topics that I explore, and more. The River is the Center is a passion project turned reality, and I hope that it can inspire an appreciation for waterways on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Many people think of rivers as borders to communities, but when it comes to the Choptank River and Caroline County- The River is the Center.
