Welcome

I'm Kennedy and I am a lifelong Caroline County native. I have been graciously awarded the opportunity to complete a historical research project dedicated to the Choptank River and Caroline County as a whole. This site is intended to document my findings via blog posts, content such as historic documents or photographs, further resources for those interested in the topics that I explore, and more. The River is the Center is a passion project turned reality, and I hope that it can inspire an appreciation for waterways on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
