"If you don't know history, then you don't know anything. You are a leaf that doesn't know it is part of a tree."

How I Conduct my Research...
Balancing the primary sources (sources that were created at the time of an event in history) with the secondary sources (sources written after the fact by people who did not live during the event) is a vital aspect of any history project. Neither are 100% reliable, but it essential that they each be taken into account. The River is the Center is based upon any and all available resources, including but not limited to: historical documents and records, diary entries, photographs, videos, publications, scholarly texts, reliable secondary source material, interviews, oral histories, and visits to local landmarks or museums. Scroll through this page to see some of the sources and resources that I have come across!
