Excerpt of a French Traveler's Journal Mentioning Choptank River

This Frenchmen travelled through the Eastern Shore of Maryland and documented his findings in 1765. The entire journal is an incredible first-hand account of life on the Eastern Shore in 1765 to an outsider, with mentions of national happenings such as rumblings of rebellion against the Stamp Act in Boston. He references the Choptank River (which he misspells) in this particular page.
